Author: Young Native Americans
Copyright Year: 1999
☆☆☆☆☆ 5 – This book was excellent, I would recommend this book to a person who likes cultural poetry books. It had a mass amount of poems that make you think like you are in that poem experiencing what goes on in the poem.
This book is about Native Americans culture in poetry. There are many excellent poems in this book. My favorite book is a poem in the book called, “Stormfear”
This is the poem: When the wind works against us in the dark
And pelts with snow
The loser chamber window in the east
Whispers with a sort of stifled bark
The beast
“Come out! Come out!”
It costs no inward struggle not to go
Ah, no!
This poem is my favorite because this is the only poem that I didn’t understand which meant that this poem was made so you can feel what the writer felt.
Why is there many writers who wrote the poems? Why not just one author to write all the poems?
This book reminds me of a book called, Hard Hit, because there were poems in the book where the author wrote so the readers to feel what the author tried to write about in the poem.
